Competitions

Competitions for the Glasgow Caledonian Philatelic Society follow the format used in 2025 for the Caledonian Philatelic Society - i.e. four trophies as below:

The classes are: Postage Stamps of All Periods, Postal History and Aerophilately, Thematic and Open Classes and Postcards and Cinderella to be judged by members at the meeting and that the appropriate existing trophy is awarded to the winning entries. In addition, members would be able to request that their entry be marked by a qualified judge in anticipation of submitting it to the Scottish Congress. The Caledonian Rose Bowl will also be awarded at the AGM.

For 2026 and for subsequent years the Competition winners as voted for by the members present were as follows:

Jean M Campbell Trophy for Postal History and Aerophilately

Frank Brown Rose Bowl for Postage Stamps of all Periods

Merrylees Trophy for Thematic and Open Classes

Fairbairn Salver for Postcards and Cinderellas

Caledonian Rosebowl
